Privacy Policy

TL;DR
ToonTone Guess is a free browser color-perception game. We don't have a backend, so most of "privacy" is a non-issue. We don't collect your name, email, gameplay guesses, or device IDs. The site is partly funded by a single third-party ad slot on the /fruit-tune page only (served by reactahead.com). No other page loads third-party advertising scripts. If you don't want the data flow, block reactahead.com with an ad blocker — there is no in-app opt-out that suppresses the slot.
1. Information we don't collect
- Personal information (name, email, phone number)
- Gameplay data — your guesses, your scores, your answers
- Persistent device identifiers (we don't fingerprint)
- Account registration (there is no signup)
- Server-side analytics on the game itself (your best scores live in your browser, not on any server)
- Third-party analytics or social tracking scripts — we don't load any. The site loads one third-party ad script (see Section 11) only on /fruit-tune when you open that page. No other route loads third-party advertising scripts.
2. What we DO collect, and why
Cloudflare hosting logs. The site runs on Cloudflare Workers. Cloudflare's standard edge logs temporarily store IP address, request URL, and User-Agent header for security and rate-limiting. These logs are operational — ToonTone Guess does not have administrative access to them and does not retain or analyze them for any product purpose.
Cookies & localStorage. Used only for the game (best scores, streak) and your cookie preferences (see Section 3). We never read or write cross-domain cookies ourselves.
Third-party ad on /fruit-tune. The /fruit-tune page contains one third-party ad slot powered by reactahead.com. The ad script is loaded only when you visit that page. No other page on this site loads third-party advertising scripts. See Section 11 for full disclosure.

4. GDPR / EEA & UK users
Important: the reactahead.com ad script loads only on the /fruit-tune page, and it loads whenever you open that page, regardless of your cookie preferences. This means your IP address, User-Agent, and Referer headers are sent to reactahead.com every time you visit /fruit-tune — even if you reject "ads" in our consent banner. All other pages (home, tune, animals, fruits, flowers, appliances, daily, legal pages) do not load the ad script at all.
The cookie banner's "ads" toggle is informational for the /fruit-tune ad only (it does not suppress it). The honest opt-out for EEA / UK users is at the network layer:
- Block
reactahead.comvia your ad blocker (uBlock Origin, 1Blocker, Brave Shields, etc.) — this is the most effective option. - Enable your browser's "Global Privacy Control" (GPC) signal — most modern ad networks honor it.
- Clear existing reactahead cookies via your browser's site data settings.
- Use a private/incognito browser session — the script is loaded per-session and reacts to existing cookies if any.
ToonTone Guess is operated as a free service in good faith. We acknowledge that always-on ad loading without prior consent is not in line with strict ePrivacy / GDPR Art. 5(3) interpretation. If you are an EEA / UK data protection authority with concerns, please email privacy@toontone-guess.com so we can address them directly.
You may still withdraw or modify your stored cookie preferences at any time via the cookie button in the bottom-left corner of any page, or by clearing your browser's site data. This will not stop the ad script from loading, but it will reset the consent record.
5. CCPA / CPRA — California users
ToonTone Guess does not sell your personal information. We also do not "share" personal information in the CCPA sense as a business — but we do load a third-party ad script (reactahead.com) on every page visit, which reads your IP and User-Agent header and may set cookies. That data flow could be characterised as a "share" of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising purposes.

California residents have the right to know, delete, correct, and limit use of their personal information. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@toontone-guess.com. We respond within 45 days as required by CCPA.
6. Children's privacy (COPPA & similar)
ToonTone Guess is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The banner ad slot is intended for an adult audience. If you believe a child has accepted "ads" cookies on a parent's device, email privacy@toontone-guess.com and we will assist in any remediation.
7. International transfers
When you visit the /fruit-tune page, your browser fetches the ad script from reactahead.com. The script may set cookies and read your IP and User-Agent. Reactahead is a global CPA advertising network; their servers are likely located in the United States, the European Union, or other regions. We do not control where reactahead processes the request. The destination creative may be served from a third-party advertiser's server anywhere in the world.
Only Cloudflare's standard operational edge logs are generated if the ad script is blocked by your browser or ad-blocker.
8. Data retention
- Game scores — kept indefinitely in your browser until you clear site data.
- Consent record — kept 6 months, then the banner re-asks.
- Cloudflare edge logs — typically retained 30 days for security; we do not control retention beyond that.
- reactahead.com cookies — we don't control retention; typical 30-day attribution window per the third-party disclosure in Section 11.
9. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, or object to processing of your personal information, and to withdraw consent or lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Email privacy@toontone-guess.com for any of these requests.

ToonTone Guess is operated by an individual developer (no formal company entity yet). For any privacy request — access, deletion, correction, opt-out, complaint — email privacy@toontone-guess.com. For everything else, see the Contact page.
11. Third-party advertising providers (ad disclosure)
ToonTone Guess is free to use, and the operating cost is partly covered by a single third-party ad slot on the /fruit-tune page (under the visible label Sponsored). No other page on this site loads third-party advertising scripts. We are disclosing this explicitly because, under FTC and CCPA rules, sponsored content and paid ad slots must be identified.
Loading behavior. The ad script loads only on the /fruit-tune page when you open it. All other routes (home, tune, animals, fruits, flowers, appliances, daily, legal pages) do not load any third-party advertising. Rejecting "ads" in our cookie banner does not change this — the cookie banner's "ads" toggle is informational for transparency, not a functional opt-out. The only ways to stop the ad script are listed under "Opting out" below.
Who the third party is. The ad is served by reactahead.com, a global cost-per-action (CPA) advertising network. They operate an ad-server that decides which creative to show in our page-level slot based on your country, device, time of day, and frequency cap. ToonTone Guess does not select, endorse, or control the creative you are shown.
What the ad script does. When you open the /fruit-tune page, our page inserts a <script> tag in the document head pointing at:

The script and any destination creative may send your browser a request to reactahead.com or to a downstream advertiser containing:
- Your IP address (used to approximate country / region)
- Your User-Agent header (device + browser type)
- The
Refererheader (this site) - First- and third-party cookies set by reactahead.com or the destination advertiser
Cookies set by reactahead.com. Reactahead may set cookies for ad serving, frequency capping, and revenue attribution. We do not control their retention. Typical duration is 30 days for attribution cookies; some anti-fraud cookies may persist longer.
Our relationship with the provider. ToonTone Guess receives revenue based on ad impressions and clicks. We do not receive, store, or process any personal information about you from reactahead. We do not have a business agreement beyond standard CPM / CPC revenue share.
Opting out. To stop the ad from loading on this site, you must block it at the network layer. Cookie preferences alone are not sufficient:

For users in the EEA / UK. ToonTone Guess acknowledges that loading the reactahead.com ad script on the /fruit-tune page, without prior consent, is not in line with the strict ePrivacy / GDPR Art. 5(3) interpretation of "prior consent" required for storing or accessing information on a user's device. The cookie banner's "ads" toggle is informational only on this site. EEA / UK users who want to avoid the data flow should block reactahead.com at the network layer or contact us at privacy@toontone-guess.com.
Children. The ad slot is not intended for users under 18 (consistent with our COPPA disclosure in Section 6). If you are a parent and are concerned that a child has been shown an ad on a parent's device, please contact us at privacy@toontone-guess.com.
Last reviewed: July 4, 2026. We may update this disclosure if we change advertising providers or expand the program.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves (e.g., if we change advertising providers, add opt-out controls, or expand the service). The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent change. Material changes will be highlighted in the in-app banner for 30 days.
This privacy policy is provided in English. Translations may be added in the future; in case of conflict, the English version governs.
